I can officially announce that I recently go promoted at my job. 🥳 I’ll be working as a NOC Technician III (from tier 2 previously). What does this mean? I’m not entirely sure what it entirely entails at the moment lol

What I do know for now is that I’ll be seen more as a veteran in my NOC tech role and have been asked to assist with some trainings. My first task is to get a small team that has been dedicated with supporting a group of customers that require a significantly greater amount of attention due to the nature of their business. The team requires a crash course on Cisco SD-WAN, which I so happen to be studying for the ENCOR exam. Nothing too extensive, tier one level support mostly. Will take this opportunity to further enhance my understanding of the technology and hopefully it will aid my colleagues in functioning more efficiently in their role.

In other news, I now have my hands on a Cisco Modeling Lab subscription. I took advantage of the Pi Day sale Cisco was promoting. I am very happy to have made the purchase. I will be looking up ways to build the many lab scenarios this exam will cover. More to come in the next week or two.
